About the Author:
Dr Joesph Thambiah is an Associate Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Thecnological University. He is a Senior Spine Surgeon with the National University Spine institute in the National University Hospital in Singapore, the former Director of Postgraduate Orthopaedic Training in NUHS as well as a past President of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association.
He serves in the School and Standing Committee of the Diocese of Singapore, worships at St Andrew's Cathedral, is its People's Warden and leads the medical missions work of the Cathedral. His previous other Anglican publications have been Diffusing the Light, a book published in2012 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the consecration of St Andrew's Cathedral, The History of Anglicanism in Singapore 1819 - 2019, published in 2019 to commemorate the bicentenary of the founding of Singapore and Providence in Adversity, published in 2022 to mark the 80th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore and the role of the Anglican Church in Singapore in World War 2.
He is happily married to Rosilind and they have two sons, Matthew and Mark, as well as a daughter-in-law, Serene, who is married to Matthew.
